According to Morgan Hurley, Publisher of FPE , Brown is joining a select group of leaders in the fire engineering profession who help establish the magazine's editorial direction and review articles for technical content and accuracy. Brown, who is based in RJA's Baltimore office, has been with the firm for over 18 years. He is an active member of SFPE, The Fire Marshals Association of North America, The Automatic Fire Alarm Association, and serves on multiple NFPA technical and code committees. He received a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland.
