Chicago, IL - - The Board of Directors of The RJA Group, Inc., the Chicago-based provider of fire protection, security and media technology consulting services, has filled the newly created position of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) by naming Randolph W. Tucker, P.E. to the post. Tucker, who joined Rolf Jensen & Associates in 1974, will lead the company's global strategic planning effort while overseeing corporate strategy, alliances, business intelligence and new initiatives.

Tucker who is an Executive Vice President of The RJA Group was previously responsible for Group Business Development. In his 32-year career with the company, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, marketing, management and international business development. Tucker is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelors Degree in Fire Protection Engineering and received his Masters of Management Degree from Northwestern University .

Tucker is actively involved in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the International Code Council (ICC) and the Urban Land Institute. He is a member of the NFPA Board of Directors and the SFPE Educational & Scientific Foundation Board of Governors. He is on the Fire Council of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., a technical advisory group of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Industry Advisory Board of Oklahoma State University. Tucker is also a Fellow, Distinguished Life Member and National Past President of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).
